Characteristics and applications of rubber accelerator zdec CAS NO.14726-36-4.
Rubber accelerator zdec is a super accelerator for natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers, a representative species of zinc dithiocarbamate, and also a general accelerator for latex.

Rubber accelerator zdec is non-polluting, non-discolored, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. The alkaline accelerator has activation effect on it and good dispersion, which can improve the tensile strength and elasticity of vulcanized rubber.

Rubber accelerator zdec has good dispersion in rubber, which can improve the tensile strength and elasticity of vulcanized rubber. Anti-oxidant should be added in NR and IR to improve the heat resistance performance.

Rubber accelerator zdec can also be used as an antioxidant for bonding systems.

Rubber accelerator zdec containing accelerator EZ is added to a small amount of accelerator TMTD, DM, anti-coke agent or antioxidant MB, which can improve the storage properties of the rubber and delay the start of vulcanization. The accelerator EZ needs to be activated by zinc oxide, but adding a small amount of fatty acid can improve the mechanical properties of the vulcanized rubber.

It should be noted that ZDEC reacts with diethylamine to produce a decomposition product N-nitrosodiethylamine, which contains nitrosylated substances (nitrogen oxides).
This product is a good active agent for thiazole and hyposulfonamide accelerators. It has strong activation effect on butyl rubber containing accelerator M, TMTD or M and TMTD, and can greatly shorten its vulcanization time. It is also used as a non-water-soluble accelerator of latex, and has little effect on the stability of latex. When it is used as the second accelerator of thiazole accelerator in latex, the aging performance of the products obtained is good.
