2,2'-Dithiobis(benzothiazole) (MBTS,DM) Off-white or light yellow powder with slightly bitter taste. Soluble in chloroform, partially soluble in benzene and ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in gasoline, water and ethyl acetate and alkali. Storage stable. MBTS has medium vulcanization speed in NR and SR, flat vulcanization characteristics, and can be used in most general rubber. It is mainly used in the manufacture of tires, inner tubes, tapes, rubber shoes and general industrial products.

Applications：Mainly used for manufacturing tires, rubber hose, rubber shoes, tape and other industrial products. In the chloroprene gum can also play the role of plasticizer or delay agent.

Properity: Off-white or light yellow powder (granular) with a little bitter,no poison. The density is 1.45-1.54. Soluble in chloroform, partly soluble in benzene, ethanol, CCl4, insoluble in gasoline, water and ethyl acetate.
