As activator and co-promoter, it can be used with mercaptans and hyposulfonamides accelerators.

Applications:
Used as accelerator for natural rubber, styrene-butadiene, nitrile, butyl, chloroprene, isoprene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, etc. Sodium pentamethylene dithiocarbamate is prepared by the reaction of hexahydropyridine, sodium carbonate and carbon disulfide, and then treated with sulfur monochloride to obtain bis-pentamethylenethiuram tetrasulfide.
