3-Methylthiazolidine-2-thione (MTT) is a thiazole-like heterocyclic compound. It contains reactive sulfur atoms and can cross-link halogen-containing polymers and is particularly suitable for chloroprene rubber. In the vulcanization of neoprene, a high degree of crosslinking can be achieved in a short period of time in combination with metal oxides (e.g. zinc oxide, magnesium oxide or lead oxide). It is suitable for CR-based injection molded or extruded rubber parts: such as hoses, seals, cable sheathing or insulation, V-belts, rubber boots, wipers, etc.
