Scorch refers to the early vulcanization phenomenon produced during rubber processing, and the function of anti-scorch agent is to prevent the rubber from scorching, improve the safety of operation, and prolong the storage period of rubber and rubber paste.
Vulcanization scorch stage is also known as the starting stage of vulcanization, is the delayed action before the start of vulcanization, also known as the induction period of the vulcanization reaction. For different rubber, this stage of the burning time, some longer, while some time is very short.
Rubber in the processing, storage, compression molding process by the role of heat, the occurrence of early vulcanization (crosslinking) and the loss of mobility and reprocessing capacity, is the so-called scorch phenomenon.
Ideal anti-coking agent should have the following properties: (anti-coking agent CTP is only suitable for sulfur vulcanization system, can not be used for peroxide, metal oxide vulcanization)
Anti-coking agents are mainly three types of organic acids, nitroso compounds and thioimide compounds.
The use of anti-scorching agent is obvious to overcome the scorching effect of rubber material. In the natural or standard-butadiene rubber, whether the rubber containing sulfonamide accelerators or azole accelerators, the addition of anti-coking agent HTM can effectively increase the rubber's Menni burning time, delay the vulcanization temperature of the vulcanization start time, but basically has no effect on the rate of vulcanization and vulcanization of the physical properties of the rubber.
For the sulfonamide accelerator NOBS vulcanization system, as long as with a very small amount of sulfur and nitrogen anti-set agent CTP can produce a better anti-coking effect, the vulcanization rate and the physical and mechanical properties of the vulcanized rubber has almost no effect. Due to the high activity of the anti-coking agent CTP, the dosage is small, so special emphasis on accurate weighing and uniform dispersion in the rubber.
Antioxidants on the rubber burning performance should also be considered: ketamine and quinoline antioxidants have to promote the role of rubber burning; a variety of p-phenylenediamine antioxidants have a different degree of promotion of burning; antioxidant D has little effect on the burning performance; antioxidant 264, 2246 has an anti-coking effect.
