What is the composition of the vulcanising agent for silicone?

Vulcanising agents are organic peroxides or bridging agents used in the vulcanisation of silicone rubber (Silicone), EVA, etc. and the curing of unsaturated polyesters.
Vulcanising agents

Any substance that can react with rubber by vulcanisation or cross-linking is collectively called a vulcanising agent, also known as a cross-linking agent.

There are many types of vulcanising agents and they are still increasing. The vulcanising agents that have been used are sulphur yellow, selenium, tellurium, sulphur-containing compounds, metal oxides, peroxides, esters, quinones and amines.

Although rubber has extremely valuable high elasticity and a series of other good properties, but the raw rubber itself in the performance of many shortcomings, the simple use of raw rubber and can not be suitable for a variety of role in the requirements of rubber products. The addition of compatibilising agents can improve the rubber properties and reduce the cost, so as to obtain the rubber products that meet the actual usage requirements.

Rubber with the agent has thousands of kinds, according to the main role of the agent in the rubber into the vulcanising agent, vulcanisation accelerator, vulcanising agent active agent, antioxidant, anti-focusing agent, reinforcing and filling agent, softening plasticiser, and other special agents, and so on.

Vulcanisation accelerators
Where in the rubber material can accelerate the speed of vulcanisation reaction, shorten the vulcanisation time, reduce the vulcanisation temperature, reduce the amount of vulcanising agent, and can enhance or improve the physical and mechanical properties of the vulcanised rubber are collectively referred to as vulcanisation accelerators, or accelerators for short.

Accelerator can also improve the vulcanisation production efficiency and quality of vulcanised rubber, so that the degree of uniformity of vulcanisation of thick products, and reduce product costs.

According to the chemical structure of the accelerator is usually divided into eight categories: thiazoles, thiuram, sulfonamides, guanidine, dithiocarbamates, aldamines, xanthates and thioureas.

Accelerator can also be classified according to acidity and alkalinity, where it is acidic or hydrogen sulfide reaction generates acidic products for acidic accelerators, such as thiazole, thiuram, dithiocarbamates and xanthate; itself alkaline or hydrogen sulfide reaction with the product of alkaline alkaline accelerator, such as guanidine, aldesmide and amine; two conditions are neutral for neutral accelerator, such as subsulfonamides and Neutral accelerators are neutral under both conditions, such as sulfonamides and thioureas. This classification is mostly used in production or in the case of co-operation of accelerators.

Active agent
Vulcanising active agent is referred to as active agent, activator and co-accelerator. It participates in the rubber vulcanisation reaction, improves the activity of the accelerator and gives full play to its effectiveness, reduces the dosage of accelerator, not only improves the speed of vulcanisation, but also improves the degree of cross-linking, and influences the cross-linking structure to improve the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanised rubber.

Protective system compatibility agent
Rubber and its products in the storage and use of the process, due to a variety of external factors, such as heat, oxygen, ozone, variable metal ions, mechanical force, light, high-energy rays, chemicals and mould, etc., its elasticity, physical and mechanical properties and the use of performance will gradually decline, the gradual loss of elasticity and use of the value of the phenomenon known as aging.
