On 7 March, Taiwan's China National Rubber Group said in a filing that its Continental Carbon developed the new Continex SC brand of fillers by processing waste tyres into recycled carbon black and pyrolysis oil. Test results showed that the new product line tested had low carbon emissions and stable quality.

Continental Carbon's parent company, Taiwan's China State Rubber Corporation (CSRC), said the project was combined with Ouroboros' "sustainable recycling" technology to enhance recyclability and sustainability. The recycled carbon black produced has been supplied to Taiwan's Cheng Shin Rubber Co.

Taiwan's Cheng Shin Rubber and Mainland China Carbon have joined forces to produce low-carbon emission, environmentally friendly Magis bicycle tyres containing recycled carbon black (rCB).
