MYANMAR, Oct 31 - Myanmar exported 76,594 tons of rubber in the first five months of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, earning more than US$94 million in export revenue.
According to the data, Myanmar produces about 300,000 tons of rubber annually, with the main producing areas being Mon State, Kayin State, Derindayi, Bago and Yangon. It mainly exports rubber to countries such as China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, India and Japan.
In FY 2022-2023, the country produced more than 360,000 tons of rubber, of which more than 200,000 tons were exported to the international market. The target is to achieve about 300,000 tons of rubber exports in FY 2023-2024.
