Vulcanization accelerator is referred to as accelerator. In the rubber compound with a small amount of accelerator, can greatly promote the reaction between rubber and vulcanizing agent (cross-linking agent), where can accelerate the speed of vulcanization reaction, shorten the vulcanization time, reduce the vulcanization reaction temperature, reduce the amount of vulcanizing agent capacity to increase or improve the physical and mechanical properties of sulfur rubber, called vulcanization accelerator.

Promoter according to the chemical structure classification

1.Thiazole class
1.1 Common products: accelerator M, DM, MZ, MTT, BT.
1.2 Main features: acidic accelerator, is the organic accelerator in the early use of varieties, with high Vulcanization activity, can give rubber good aging resistance and fatigue resistance. As an intermediate, it is widely used in the rubber industry and has a large consumption.


2. Hypersulfonamides
2.1 Common products: CZ, NS, DZ, NOBS.
2.2 Main features: acidic, after-effect accelerator, with long scorching time, vulcanization activity; high degree of vulcanization of vulcanized rubber, better physical and mechanical properties, better aging resistance, better vulcanization flatness of rubber, occupies a more important position in the accelerator, is a fast developing and promising class of accelerator in recent years.


3.Tyuram class
3.1 Common products: TMTD, TMTM, TETD, TBzTD, DPTT, TIBTD, DDTS.
3.2 Main features: including monosulfide Tyuram, disulfide Tyuram and polysulfide Tyuram. It is an acidic super-promoter, with activity between dithiocarbamate and thiazole promoter, generally used as the second promoter, which can improve the vulcanization speed and vulcanization degree of thiazole and hyposulfuramide promoters.


4. Dithiocarbamates
4.1 Common products: ZDC, BZ, PZ, ZBEC, PX, TDEC.
4.2 Main features: it is super super speed accelerator. Low active temperature, fast vulcanization speed and high cross-linking. However, it is easy to scorch, poor flatness, and easy to cause under-sulfur or over-sulfur when vulcanization operation is improper. Suitable for fast vulcanization of thin products, room temperature vulcanization products, latex products and butyl rubber, EPDM rubber sulfur yellow vulcanization products.


5.guanidine
5.1 Common products: DPG, DOTG.
5.2 Main features: guanidine accelerator is currently the more alkaline accelerator dosage. The medium speed accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. When using guanidine accelerator alone, the vulcanization starts late, the operation safety is large, the storage stability of the compounding rubber is good, but the vulcanization speed is slow (1 times slower than the secondary sulfonamide accelerator). The guanidine accelerator vulcanized rubber is characterized by high vulcanization, resulting in high hardness and high tensile stress. But because of the presence of a large number of polysulfide bonds and more cyclic compounds in the vulcanized rubber, so that the vulcanized rubber heat aging resistance is poor, easy to crack, compression deformation.


6. Thiourea
6.1 Common products: ETU, DETU, DPTU.
6.2 Main features: thiourea accelerators have low promotion effectiveness and poor anti-scorch performance, and are rarely used in diene rubber.


7. aldehydes and amines
7.1 Common products: H, 808.
7.2 Main features: these accelerators are made of aliphatic aldehydes and ammonia or amine (aliphatic amine or aromatic amine) condensation, is a weak accelerator, its vulcanization activity varies greatly depending on the species.


8. Xanthate salts
8.1 Representative products: DIP, ZIX, ZBX.
8.2 Main features: It is a kind of super fast accelerator with high activity, and the promotion effect is even faster than the ammonium salt of dithiocarbamate. The vulcanization flatness is small.
