Medium speed accelerator for rubber. It can be used as an activator of thiazole tyrum and sulfosamide promoters. It can be used for continuous vulcanization when combined with accelerator DM and TMTD. It has anti-aging performance. It is generally used for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, not latex. It is mainly used to manufacture rubber industrial products such as tires, rubber sheets and rubber shoes.

Avoid contact with strong oxidants. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, chloroform, hot benzene, hot toluene, easily soluble in dilute inorganic acids. Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline. Stable in the air.
The production process of diphenyl guanidine in China is the condensation of carbon disulfide and aniline to prepare diphenyl thiourea, and then diphenyl guanidine sulfate is prepared from diphenyl thiourea, lead oxide, ammonium hydroxide and ammonium sulfate at 40-70 ℃. After extraction, filtration and neutralization, semi-finished products are obtained. And then dried and screened to obtain the finished accelerator D.

The differences of various production processes are mainly concentrated in the synthesis of diphenylguanidine from diphenylthiourea. In the early days, the lead oxide method was used in China. Due to poor product quality, dust pollution of operators (lead dust), three wastes treatment of mother liquor, and low yield, this method was basically stopped in the late 1990s.
