Wires and cables are also referred to as cables in the broad sense. The narrow sense of the cable is the insulated cable. It can be defined as an aggregate of one or more insulated cores, and their respective coverings, total protection layers and outer sheaths as may be available. The cable may also have additional uninsulated conductors.
First, due to the different characteristics of each antioxidant, and different rubber formulations of different aging properties. Therefore, the most effective antioxidant for a rubber material, may be ineffective or even harmful to another rubber material. Therefore, the selection of antioxidants must be in accordance with a variety of rubber aging properties, anti-aging requirements and a variety of antioxidant characteristics of integrated consideration, rational choice.
Second, when an antioxidant is difficult to meet the requirements, two or more antioxidants should be used in conjunction with its coordinating role to ensure that the anti-aging effect.
Third, some antioxidants have coloring effect on the rubber and pollution phenomenon. Generally speaking, phenolic antioxidants protective effect is poor, but not contaminated or very small pollution. The protective effect of higher amine antioxidants, will make the rubber pollution, serious discoloration. These contradictions in the selection should be considered in an integrated manner.
Fourth, the amount of antioxidant should not exceed the solubility of the rubber to prevent frost, contamination of rubber surface quality
Fifth, amine antioxidants have adverse effects on rubber burning; phenolic antioxidants can delay vulcanization, should be noted in the selection.
