I. Definition.
Also known as: vulcanization retardant, a substance that can prevent or retard the early vulcanization (scorching) of rubber before vulcanization (including processing and storage process) when added to the rubber material.
Second, the real pressure of scorching.
1. the use of high-temperature fast vulcanization system in the formulation.
2. improve the mixing, calendering and other operating rates and temperatures make the rubber more sensitive to early vulcanization.
Three, anti-coke agent characteristics.
1. improve the safety of operation and storage, prevent scorching at the same time, without extending the total vulcanization time.
2. does not have cross-linking effect itself.
3. No adverse effect on appearance, chemical and physical properties.
4. Non-toxic, easy to disperse, and low cost.
IV. Main varieties.
1. Organic acids.
Pollution is small, but the anti-coke performance is slightly poor, and has slowed down the rate of vulcanization, promote products aging and other shortcomings, so the actual use of less.
2. Nitroso compounds.
The anti-coking effect is large, and it has no effect on the vulcanization rate. However, the disadvantage is that it is seriously discolored by light and polluted.
3.PVI (CTP).
It can improve the safety of operation, prevent early vulcanization, and does not affect the performance; it can significantly improve the storage stability and reduce the amount of waste rubber; it does not pollute, and has the effect of regeneration and recovery for rubber with the risk of scorching; and the dosage is small, and the scorching time can be easily controlled by changing the dosage.
