The difference of each production process is mainly concentrated in the step of synthesizing diphenylguanidine from diphenylthiourea. In the early stage, the lead oxide method was adopted in China. Due to poor product quality, dust pollution by operators (lead dust), three-waste treatment of mother liquor, and low yield etc., this method was basically discontinued in the late 1990s.
