Rubber is characterised by both high elasticity and high viscosity states, and its elasticity is generated by changes in the molecular conformation of the crimped molecules, while intermolecular interactions between rubber molecules hinder the movement of the molecular chains, thus exhibiting viscous characteristics, leading to an imbalance in the stresses and strains.

Rubber's curly long-chain molecular structure and the existence of weak secondary forces between molecules give rubber materials their unique viscoelastic properties, resulting in excellent performance in vibration damping, sound insulation and cushioning.

Rubber vibration damping products are generally also known as rubber shock absorbers. There are many types of rubber shock absorbers, which can be classified into compression, shear, torsion, impact and hybrid from the point of view of their shock power.
