Insulating rubber products are an important material widely used in electrical, electronic, automotive, aerospace and other fields, and its main advantages include high insulation, high temperature resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance and so on. Insulation level is one of the important indicators to ensure the safety of electrical equipment.

I. Overview of rubber insulation grade
Rubber insulation class refers to the performance level of rubber insulation, generally expressed in letters, such as A, B, E, F and so on. Different insulation levels correspond to different maximum working temperatures, which determines its application in different occasions. Usually, the higher the insulation grade, the better its thermal resistance.

Second, the rubber insulation grade expression method
Rubber insulation grade is expressed in two ways, one is the use of heat-resistant grade letters plus fire protection level of digital representation, such as A0, A1, A2, B1, B2, E0, E1, E2, F1, F2, and so on, where the letters indicate the heat-resistant grade, the number of fire protection level. Another method of expression is the use of letters to indicate the heat-resistant grade and application places, such as Y, H, N, R, etc., where the letter indicates the heat-resistant grade, followed by the letter indicates the application places, such as Y for rubber cable insulation, H for high-temperature power line insulation, N for low-temperature equipment insulation, R for oil-resistant equipment insulation.

Third, the application of different levels of scenes
1、A-class insulation: applicable to the maximum working temperature of 60 ℃ below the electrical equipment;
Class B insulation: applicable to electrical equipment with a maximum working temperature of 75℃ or below;
3、Grade E insulation: applicable to electrical equipment with a maximum working temperature of 120℃ or less;
4, F-class insulation: applicable to the maximum operating temperature of 155 ℃ below the electrical equipment.
It should be noted that the same level of rubber insulation, there are differences in performance. Because of the different formulations and processes of rubber materials, the performance of the same insulation grade will be different.

Fourth, the meaning and importance of insulation level
Rubber insulation level is to ensure the safety of electrical equipment, one of the important indicators, different insulation levels correspond to different maximum working temperature, good insulation level can ensure that the cable or electrical equipment in the work will not be due to insulation aging, resulting in electrical accidents. Especially in some occasions that need to resist high temperature and special environment, it is more necessary to use rubber insulation with high insulation level.
