Klean Industries Inc. of Canada is a manufacturer of tyre pyrolysis equipment and designs and builds projects for the treatment of hydrocarbon wastes such as scrap tyres.
Poland's Reoil is a recycler of end-of-life tyres using innovative continuous pyrolysis technology that uses patented tyre pyrolysis technology to develop sustainable industrial solutions for end-of-life tyres.
Klean and Reoil have agreed to introduce KleanLoop, a tracking and identification technology developed by Klean and its partners using Artificial Intelligence (AI), at a reference plant in Bukono, Poland. The partners also aim to develop additional projects as part of the long-term relationship.
With the KleanLoop integration, we are poised to further fulfil our commitment to closed-loop operations and transparency in this critical industry," said Michal Mikuskiewicz, founder of Reoil.
The Klean Loop integration is expected to bring improvements and transparency to end-of-life tyre recycling at the plant.Klean said Klean Loop streamlines ESG (environmental, social and governance) reporting for upstream and downstream stakeholders, including measuring CO2 impacts and offsets across the supply chain.
Anders Bergman, president of Klean's European business and head of Klean Loop, said, "The choice to integrate Klean Loop into a well-known and commercially viable project in the end-of-life tyre (ELT) sector marks an important milestone for the platform. The platform will make a significant contribution to the goal of achieving true circularity in the product life cycle.
Jesse Klinkhamer, CEO of Klean, said, "Both Reoil and Klean are pioneers in tyre pyrolysis, specialising in the production of high quality recycled carbon black. Together we are pioneering a new industry with a proven platform that sets us apart from other companies in terms of end-of-life tyre management options.
