What is rubber antioxidant?
During long-term storage and use of rubber and its products, due to the effects of heat, oxygen, ozone, variable metal ions, mechanical stress, light, high-energy rays, and other chemicals and molds, it will gradually become sticky, hardened, brittle or cracked. This phenomenon of physical and mechanical properties decreasing over time and elasticity is called aging. With the progress and development of the aging process, the performance of rubber and its products will gradually decrease to completely lose the use value. For this reason, it is necessary to add certain chemical substances to rubber and its products to improve its resistance to the above-mentioned various destructive effects, delay or inhibit the aging process, thereby prolonging the storage period and service life of rubber and its products. It's called antioxidant agent.
How to classify antioxidants?
Antioxidants Classified by chemical structure, it is divided into the following 5 categories:
2.1. Amine antioxidants (subdivided into 6 sub-categories: aldehyde amine antioxidants, ketone amine antioxidants, diaryl secondary amines, p-phenylenediamines, diphenylamines, alkyl aryl secondary Amines)
2.2. Phenolic antioxidants (divided into monophenols, bisphenols, and polyphenols)
2.3. Heterocyclic antioxidants
2.4. Phosphite antioxidants
2.5. Other antioxidants (long-acting antioxidants, nickel salts, waxes, thioureas, newly developed antioxidants)
