The vulcanizates of Neoprene containing different kinds and amounts of vulcanization systems were prepared by mechanical blending. The effect of a new type of highly effective vulcanizing agent, ferric tri Acetylacetone [Fe (acac) 3], on the vulcanization mechanism, dynamic parameters and mechanical relaxation behavior of Neoprene vulcanizates was studied. The Fe (acac) 3 curing system has the characteristics of cyclic vulcanization in the vulcanization process. When 0.10 parts (mass, the same below) of Fe (acac) 3 is used, Neoprene can be efficiently vulcanized; Compared with the traditional metal oxide curing system, when only 0.25 phr Fe (acac) 3 was used, the tensile strength of Neoprene vulcanizate was the highest and the equilibrium value of tensile stress relaxation was the largest; Due to the cyclic participation of the Fe (acac) 3 system in the vulcanization process, the vulcanizate still maintains a large compressive stress relaxation equilibrium value after 3 days of thermal oxygen aging at 100 ℃.
