Aromatic Amine Antioxidants
Aromatic amine antioxidants, also known as rubber antioxidants, are the most produced type and are mainly used in rubber products. These antioxidants are inexpensive and have significant antioxidant effects. Their use in light-colored and white products. Important aromatic amine antioxidants are: diphenylamine, p-phenylenediamine and dihydroquinoline and other compounds and their derivatives or polymers. A representative product is N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (see structure a). The product is gray to purple crystal, the melting point is above 70℃, and can be used in natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, neoprene and isoprene rubber.
Hindered phenolic antioxidant
Hindered phenolic antioxidants are some sterically hindered phenolic compounds, their anti-oxidative effect is remarkable, they will not pollute the products, and develop rapidly. There are many varieties of such antioxidants, and the important products are: 2,6-tertiary butyl-4-methylphenol (b), bis(3,5-tertiary butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfur ether (c) and tetrakis [β-(3,5-tertiary butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid] pentaerythritol ester (d) and the like. Tetra[beta-(3,5-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid]pentaerythritol ester is an excellent antioxidant for polyolefins. Hindered phenolic antioxidants are mainly used in plastics, synthetic fibers, latex, petroleum products, food, drugs and cosmetics.
Auxiliary antioxidant
Dipropionate thiodipropionate is a kind of auxiliary antioxidant, which is often used together with hindered phenolic antioxidants, and the effect is remarkable. The main products are: double dodecyl alcohol ester, double tetradecyl alcohol ester and double octadecyl alcohol ester. Phosphite is also an auxiliary antioxidant. The main products are: trioctyl ester, tridecyl ester, tris (dodecyl alcohol) ester and tris (hexadecyl alcohol) ester, etc. When used together with the main antioxidant, the effect Also good.
