In December 2023, China's rubber market saw a slight decline, with the country's imports of natural and synthetic rubber (including latex) totaling 723,000 tons in the month, down 5.1% from 762,000 tons in the same month last year, according to data released by China's General Administration of Customs.
And throughout 2023, China's total rubber imports reached 7.952 million tons, compared with 7.360 million tons in 2022, achieving an 8% increase. This data shows that China's demand for rubber raw materials maintained a steady growth in the past year, which to some extent reflects the supply and demand relationship in the domestic and international markets and the continuous and stable development of the industrial chain.
