The synthesis method of a new type of high-performance ester antioxidant won the gold patent award of the 47th Geneva International Invention Exhibition and the invention award issued by the Hong Kong Invention and Innovation Association.

This award-winning patent achievement creatively embeds multiple antioxidant groups into a skeleton, greatly improving the antioxidant capacity. Because of its high oxidation resistance, low coloring and low toxicity, it is mainly used in lubricating oil, plastics, rubber, fiber, cosmetics and other fields, and has a very good application prospect.

The research team applied this antioxidant to lubricating oil, and the test data showed that the antioxidant capacity of the same oil can be increased by 130% ~ 150%.

It is reported that antioxidants are widely used in industry and daily life. This is because plastic, lubricating oil, rubber, cosmetics, etc. will undergo oxidation and aging during use. Antioxidants can effectively inhibit or delay this oxidation process.

The Geneva International Invention Exhibition is jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Swiss federal government. More than 1000 achievements and inventions from more than 50 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, France and China participated in this invention exhibition, involving biomedicine, new materials, energy and environmental protection. The jury set up four awards, namely, Gold Award, Gold Award, silver award and bronze award.
