What Are The Kinds Of Vulcanising Accelerators?
1970-01-01

Rubber Vulcanising accelerators are usually divided into two categories: inorganic and organic.

At present, organic vulcanization accelerators have taken the dominant position, and inorganic vulcanization accelerators have become auxiliary active agents, also called co-accelerators, mostly metal oxides, such as chemicalbook zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, etc. Organic accelerators have high efficiency and good vulcanization characteristics, and have been rapidly developed. At present, there are hundreds of compounds used in production, such as dithiocarbamate, xanthate, thiuram and other compounds.

According to the chemical structure of substances, vulcanization accelerators can be divided into:

① dithiocarbamates; ② thiurams; ③ xanthates; ④ thiazoles; ⑤ sulfenamides; ⑥ thioureas; ⑦ Aldehyde ammonia; ⑧ Guanidine; ⑨ Amine; ⑩ Other special and mixed types, etc.

Among them, the largest consumption is ④ and ⑤, and the total consumption of the two accounts for 70% to 75% of the entire accelerator.
