Finnish rubber products and hose manufacturer Reka Group recently announced its 2021 financial results, despite the company still struggling with rising raw material prices and labor shortages caused by the epidemic, Reka's 2021 sales and profits still achieved double-digit growth. Among them, profit increased by 20% (year-on-year, the same below) to 11.3 million euros, and sales increased by 31% to 158 million euros.

Reka said that the growth was mainly driven by the growth of the company's cable and rubber businesses. Growth in the cable business was mainly related to higher metal prices, while the rubber business benefited from a surge in customer orders. According to the financial report, the sales of Reka rubber business in the second half of 2021 increased by 31.5% to 12 million euros, and the total sales for the whole year reached 24.6 million euros; the profit in the second half of the year increased by 103% to 400,000 euros, and the total profit for the whole year was 1.5 million. Reka said that the current production and delivery capacity of rubber hoses in Poland is poor, and the increase in production has not kept pace with the increase in customer orders.
