Vietnam's "Customs Online" reported on August 25 that according to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, Vietnam exported 87,340 tons of rubber in the first half of August this year, with an export value of 143.1 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 12. 3% compared with the second half of July. , The export value fell by 13.2%; the export volume fell by 18.5% year-on-year, but the export value increased by 10.2% year-on-year.

From the beginning of the year to August 15th, Vietnam's rubber exports exceeded 1 million tons, and the export value reached 1.68 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 27% and 66.1% respectively year-on-year.

The Import and Export Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam stated that rubber exports are affected by many companies having to suspend production because they are in the blockade.

At the same time, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, the transportation situation has not shown any signs of improvement, and the lack of containers will continue to exist. At the same time, high freight rates are expected to continue until 2022, which will affect Vietnam's rubber exports.

However, Vietnam's rubber exports to major markets such as the European Union, China, the United States, and India are expected to continue to maintain an upward trend, mainly due to the growth of demand in these countries, the gradual recovery of the economy and the relaxation of epidemic prevention measures.
