Accelerators are admixtures that accelerate setting, and some also have a hardening effect, i.e., they lead to an increase in the early strength of the bond, but do not necessarily have a positive effect on the later strength, so they are often called hardening agents (early strength agents). As mentioned above, water glass and phosphate as acidic, neutral refractory bonding agent at room temperature condensation hardening rate is very slow, and sodium silicofluoride and alkaline compounds are commonly used in such materials to promote hardening agent, respectively.
While rubber accelerators are mainly used in radial tires, one is as a reinforcing resin curing agent to improve the hardness of rubber products; the other is with resorcinol and other additives to form a bonding system, which plays an important role in the bonding of rubber and fiber.
A catalyst induces a change in a chemical reaction, which in turn makes the chemical reaction faster or slower or takes place at a lower temperature environment. Catalysts are also known as catalysts in industry.
