Rubber vulcanization accelerator is divided into two categories:
First, according to the acidity and alkalinity classification
Acidic accelerators: thiazole, thiuram, dithiocarbamates, xanthates.
Alkaline accelerators: guanidine and aldehydes and amines.
Neutral accelerators: hypoxanthamides and thioureas.
Classification according to vulcanization speed
Ultra-ultra-speed grade: dithiocarbamates and xanthates.
Ultra-rapid grade: thiuram
Quasi-super-speed grade: thiazole, hypoxanthamides
Medium-speed grade: guanidines
Slow grade: aldehydes and amines, thioureas
According to their nature and chemical composition can be divided into two categories: inorganic accelerators, organic accelerators.
Inorganic accelerators used the earliest, but because of the promotion effect is small, vulcanized rubber performance is poor, in addition to other cases still used in small quantities, the vast majority of occasions have been replaced by organic accelerators.
Organic accelerators to promote the effect of large, good vulcanization characteristics, vulcanized rubber has excellent physical and mechanical properties, and thus the rapid development.
With the continuous development of synthetic rubber varieties and uses, the existing accelerator name is increasingly complex, but the most commonly used but dozens of species.
