From January to May 2021, China imported 521,000 tons of main synthetic rubber, an increase of 56,000 tons or 12% compared with the same period in 2020.

From January to May of 2021, China exported 125,000 tons of main synthetic rubber, an increase of 61,000 tons compared with the same period in 2020, an increase of 94%.

From January to May of 2021, China imported 114,000 tons of synthetic rubber latex, a year-on-year increase of 47%; imported natural rubber latex was 248,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24%.

From January to May of 2021, China imported a total of 35,000 tons of compound rubber, a year-on-year increase of 40%; imports of natural rubber totaled 681,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24%; imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures totaled 1.235 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4% .

According to the latest data released by the China Statistics Bureau, China's synthetic rubber production in May was 642,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

China's cumulative production of synthetic rubber from January to May was 3.18 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%.
